Parish Council Meeting held on 9th April 2018

Dog Waste Service: The Parish Council provides 4 dog waste bins. These are easy to find being situated on the High Street opposite Croughton Lodge, at the junction of the High Street with Wheelers Rise, on Brackley Road just off the High Street, and at Park End affixed to footway light No. 5 by the chicane just past Park End Works and near the seat.

Thank you to responsible dog walkers for using the bins to dispose of bagged dog waste. If a bin is full please take your dog waste home rather than leaving it on the ground or placing it on top of the bin. Unfortunately, due to serious health problems our previous Contractor withdrew his service at short notice and the regular bin collection was disrupted during the previous couple of months. Thankfully, Cherwell District Council stepped forward, and provided an interim service during April. A new Contractor has been appointed as from 1st May and will empty the bins every week.

Highway issues: Reinstatement of the lay-by in the vicinity of the School (subject to viability and consultation), a School warning sign to be affixed to the Vehicle Activated Sign post at Park End, and the acquisition of a portable VAS were the three traffic calming measures favoured by the Parish Council for funding under the HS2 Road Safety Fund. Northamptonshire Highways will advise on the placing of signage at specific locations.
