Proposal for double yellow lines along the High Street to the east of the School

The Parish Council invites feedback from residents

The Parish Council has been advised that the request for time limited waiting restrictions along part of the north side of the carriageway east of the School was a non-starter.

Northants Highways would be willing to consider an alternative: double yellow lines.

If introduced, parking would be disallowed at all times.

New Chairman elected at the Annual Parish Council Meeting

3At the Annual Parish Council Meeting held on 13th May 2019, Councillor Chris Fox was elected Chairman for the 2019-2020 Council year. Cllr Fox was previously Vice Chairman to Cllr Penny Forbes who had served as Chairman for the previous 3 years.

Footway Light No 50 at junction of High Street and Brackley Road:

The Parish Council decided in favour of the Blade lamp as a permanent replacement for its defunct predecessor. The new fitting, which had been trialled since mid-February was considered to emit an adequate spread of white light. These are held at 7.30 p.m. on the second Monday of the month, excluding Bank Holidays, at 7.30 p.m. in Croughton Village Hall.

Dog Waste:

Having been made aware of dog waste on the footway and grass verge at Blenheim the Parish Council discussed whether to provide a dog waste bin in that location. Issues of where best to site it, the cost of the actual bin and pole (£260) and its installation (£60), as well as the weekly service charge (£2.80), led to the decision not to proceed.
