Input from Members of the Public on Meeting Days:

Posted: Tue, 07 Nov 2017 18:50 by Trevor Davies

This is welcomed in the following ways and on 9th October there were examples of each:

Informal Closed Discussion on certain topics with invited speaker at 7 p.m. The Parish Council was interested to learn from its representative for traffic calming about the initial information he had gathered concerning traffic light proposals and average speed cameras in the 20 mph zone and will be exploring further what might be achievable.

Public Forum 7.30 p.m. Members of the public may wish to bring certain matters that are not on the Agenda to the attention of the Parish Council. 15 minute slot.

The Parish Council received an update on the Play Park Project. A considerable amount of money had been raised locally and completion of Phase 1 had been achieved. The Team was considering the next phase to tackle and would be busy applying for grants. The Parish Council congratulated the Team on the progress it had made.

Public Participation - a 10 minute standing item on the Agenda giving the opportunity to Members of the public to speak briefly to an Agenda item as part of the formal Meeting. The SNC Local Plan Part 2 was the Agenda item addressed by one member of the public who felt that the Plan favoured investment in the towns of Brackley and Towcester above that of the District's villages and parishes. The member of the public suggested that investment might be forthcoming through development provided it were liable for the Community Infrastructure Levy.

If you wish to speak at the Public Forum or at Public Participation, please notify the Clerk or the Chairman in advance. Thank you.

SNC Local Plan Part 2: The Parish Council wished to devote more time than was available at the meeting to formulate its response and would meet again to do so. The deadline was 10th November 2017.
