Calling for Volunteers for Community Speed Watch 2018/2019

Northants Police have invited Croughton to participate in the Community Speed Watch programme next year.

In order to accept this invitation at least 6–10 adult volunteers will be needed.

Training in the use of the speed detection equipment will be provided by the Police. The 3-hour training session is held on a Saturday morning in Northampton.

Bin It! – Don’t Block It!

A Message from Thames Water – the utility responsible for the sewerage network and sewage treatment works (STW) within the catchment of Croughton.

Thames Water is currently experiencing problems with blockages within the network and pumps being blocked at the STW.

The sewerage system was only designed to take "poo, pee, paper" (toilet only) and wastewater.

Informal Closed Discussion on certain topics with invited speaker at 7 p.m. The Parish Council was interested to learn from its representative for traffic calming about the initial information he had gathered concerning traffic light proposals and average speed cameras in the 20 mph zone and will be exploring further what might be achievable.. The website was set up 14 years ago and has given village organisations the opportunity to promote their events and activities to the wider community. Since then, social media has strengthened and energized, whilst in May 2016 the new Parish Council website was launched www.croughtonparishcouncil.org.uk
